Returns – Online and In-Store Purchases

This Return and Refund Policy (“Policy”) governs all purchases of musical instruments made from GIFT OF MUSIC (“Store,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By completing a purchase, the customer (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agrees to the terms outlined below.

Return Eligibility

GIFT OF MUSIC permits returns of musical instruments within seven (7) calendar days from the original date of purchase, subject to the conditions set forth in this Policy.

To qualify for a return and refund, the instrument must:

  • Be returned within seven (7) calendar days of the purchase date as shown on the original sales receipt.
  • Be in the same condition as when originally sold.
  • Be free from any cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents, cracks, finish wear, discoloration, or other visible alterations.
  • Be fully functional with no mechanical, structural, or electronic defects beyond the condition at the time of sale.
  • Include all original packaging, cases, manuals, documentation, accessories, components, warranty cards, and bundled items originally provided at purchase.

Failure to meet any of the above conditions may result in denial of the return.

 Restocking Fee

All approved returns are subject to a non-refundable seventy-five dollar ($75.00) restocking fee, which will be deducted from the total refund amount.

The restocking fee applies to all eligible returns made within the seven (7) day return period, without exception.

Inspection and Approval

All returned instruments are subject to inspection by GIFT OF MUSIC staff to verify compliance with this Policy. The Store reserves the sole right and discretion to determine:

  • Whether the instrument meets the return eligibility requirements
  • Whether any cosmetic or functional damage exists
  • Whether the instrument has been altered, modified, mishandled, or improperly maintained

If the instrument does not meet return criteria, the Store may refuse the return. In such cases, the instrument will be made available for Customer pickup.

Refund Method

Refunds will be issued using the original method of payment whenever possible. If the original method of payment is unavailable, the Store reserves the right to issue a store credit.

Refunds will be processed only after inspection and approval of the returned instrument. Processing times may vary depending on the original payment provider.

Non-Returnable or Ineligible Items

The following circumstances may render an instrument ineligible for return:

  • Evidence of misuse, abuse, negligence, or accidental damage
  • Modifications, alterations, or unauthorized repairs
  • Missing components, accessories, or packaging
  • Excessive wear inconsistent with limited in-store testing

The Store reserves the right to deny returns that do not strictly comply with this Policy.

Final Sale Items

Any instrument designated at the time of sale as “Final Sale” is not eligible for return or refund.
