Meet the Team of Repair Professionals
Allison Scull - Repair Center Manager
Allison Scull has been repairing band instruments since her graduation from the Band Instrument Repair program at Western Iowa Technical Community College in 2010. After graduating, she moved from Sioux City, IA to Lake Charles, LA to work at Swicegood Music Co. of LA where she became the repair shop manager in 2013. At the end of 2019, she moved to Atlanta and began working as the repair center manager for The Gift of Music in 2021. Allison has been involved in the National Association of Band Instrument Repair Technicians as a regional director, regional clinician, and national clinician, most recently in Baltimore in 2022. She serves on the Western Iowa Tech. advisory committee for the instrument repair program and continues to help guide the repair program towards the future of the industry.
Rick Nyberg - Repair Technician
Rick has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and has decades of experience as a process engineer and engineering professor. In 2017 he decided to change careers and began an apprenticeship under Allison in Louisiana. After moving to the Atlanta area, Rick began working at Gift of Music in 2021 as a journeyman technician specializing in brass instrument repair. He is active with the National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technicians and has presented at a national conference. With his diversity of experience, Rick has contributed to the innovative processes at Gift of Music that enable us to provide uniquely high-quality service.
Raleigh Sharp - Repair Technician
Raleigh is a native Floridian, a multi-instrumentalist, and a lifelong learner. He earned his B.A. in Music from Florida State University in 2016 with an emphasis on euphonium, and he is also a proud alumnus of the 2012-2013 Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps. Raleigh began working as an instrument repair technician in 2016, and after serving musicians in the greater Tallahassee area for nearly a decade, he moved to the Atlanta metro area in 2024 to join the talented technicians at The Gift of Music Foundation. Beyond his love of music, Raleigh is passionate about gaming, spending quality time with friends, enjoying great coffee, and exploring the great outdoors. He hopes to use his repair knowledge and precision skills to support music educators in delivering exceptional music education and to empower musicians of all ages.
